When can I start studying for a PPL or CPL licence and do I have to study full time?
Start dates are flexible and we can provide part time or full-time training tailored to your needs.
What do I need to do to gain a PPL licence?
A minimum of 50 hours flying which can be completed in as little as six weeks
Six theory subjects are required. These can be self-studied with the support of our instructors or you can enrol on a full time PPL theory course in conjunction with Nelson Aviation College for eight weeks.
What do I need to do to gain a CPL licence?
A minimum of 150 hours total flying time (includes 50 PPL hours). It includes the same six subjects studied for PPL but to a more advanced level. These can be self-studied with the support of our instructors or you can enrol on a full time CPL theory course in conjunction with Nelson Aviation College for thirteen weeks.
What are the requirements to study for a PPL?
- You must be a minimum of 17 years of age to sit the flight test
